The clothing retailer Zara is facing significant backlash in Israel after a local franchise in the nation hosted a far-right leader named Itamar Ben-Gvir. As a result of the event, many individuals in Israel are advocating for a boycott of the apparel company.
Reports indicate that Joey Schwebel, the head of Zara’s local franchise, attended a campaign event for a prominent far-right political candidate named Itamar Ben-Gvir. The incident infuriated a great number of Arab Israelis, and as a result, they have now called for a boycott of the fashion business.
Many people posted videos of themselves burning Zara clothing that they had videotaped themselves burning on Twitter with the hashtag “Boycott Zara.”
After his presentation, Ben-Gvir was asked what he thought about the demands for a boycott, and he responded by saying, “That’s the actual face of the left.”
Zara, on the other hand, is staying silent about the situation for the time being.
Notably, Ben-party Gvir’s will be seeking for seats in the Israeli legislature in the elections that will take place the following month. The results of a number of polls indicate that his nationalist grouping is likely going to end up being the third-largest bloc in the house.
