RINA Enters the Market for U.S. Infrastructure

USRINA Enters the Market for U.S. Infrastructure

Patrick Engineering Ltd. is a Chicago-based engineering consultancy company that is active in the fields of infrastructure, transport, and renewable energy. RINA, a multinational inspection, certification, and engineering consultancy firm, has announced that it has acquired the entire share capital of Patrick Engineering Ltd. Patrick Engineering will be fully integrated into RINA Consulting, which is a subsidiary of the RINA Group that operates in the engineering sector. Patrick Engineering has a turnover of approximately 82 million dollars and employs 340 people across 19 offices, the majority of which are located in the North-East of the United States.

The purchase is in line with RINA’s objective to develop both organically and via acquisitions, and it further enhances the Group’s global footprint, which already has a presence in the most important markets across the globe.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RINA, Ugo Salerno, said that “the purchase of Patrick Engineering and the combined experience of the new company provides a one-of-a-kind potential for development and growth in the flourishing North American Infrastructure industry.” It not only creates an outstanding platform in this industry, but it also creates an ideal platform for growing all of RINA’s enterprises to make the United States one of RINA’s primary centers. RINA will be in a better position to capitalize on opportunities to export its highly specialized expertise in the areas of materials, laboratory testing, and creative technologies.

The founder of Patrick Engineering, Daniel Patrick Dietzler, had the following to say about the merger: “Our businesses are complementary to one another, and both our customers and our employees will profit from this transaction.” We want to accelerate our expansion into new markets while also expanding our scope of expertise. We have a robust customer portfolio that includes both commercial and public sector entities, such as transportation agencies in major cities, investor-owned utilities, and heavy industries located throughout North America. We will obtain knowledge, notably in offshore wind, high-speed rail, and other developing areas of experience that our customers are seeking, via RINA’s worldwide network.

Patrick Engineering was established in 1979, and it will continue to exist as a brand inside the RINA Group. Patrick Engineering is known for its strong local presence, high-quality service portfolio, and acknowledged technical talents. It provides a comprehensive range of services and competes well in the markets it operates in under its capacity to carry out tasks promptly and effectively. Some of the industries it operates in include Renewables, Infrastructures, and Transportation. As a result of the purchase, the service offering as a whole will be strengthened, and the firm will be positioned to become a prominent player in the engineering industry across North America.
