Following the announcement on Wednesday that Barcelona will play a preseason friendly against Jose Mourinho’s Roma team, the Camp Nou will play host to Mourinho’s team in August.
Mourinho has not been to Camp Nou for a competitive match since 2013, which was near the conclusion of his tenure as manager of Real Madrid, which was marked by the strong competition with the Catalans and Pep Guardiola.
On August 6, the club’s men’s and women’s teams will both compete for the Joan Gamper Trophy in a match versus Roma. The women’s match will begin at 5.30 p.m., while the men’s match will begin at 9 p.m. The women’s game will be played first.
It will be the last preseason match for the team managed by Xavi Hernandez before the start of the La Liga season on August 12.
In the month of July, Barcelona will also play a friendly match against Olot, a team from the fifth division in Catalonia, as well as friendlies against Inter Miami, Real Madrid, Juventus, and the New York Red Bulls.
