Arturo Vidal’s contract with Inter Milan has been mutually terminated, the Serie A club announced yesterday. Vidal was a midfielder for Inter Milan.
It has been claimed by Italian media that the Chilean international player, who is 35 years old, would sign as a free agent with the Brazilian top-tier club Flamengo, where he had a medical examination last week.
In his two years with Inter, Vidal has played in 71 games and scored four goals across all competitions. During that time, Inter has won both the Serie A championship and the Super Cup, in addition to the Italian Cup from the previous year.
In a statement, the club stated, “The club would like to thank Arturo for his two years with the Nerazzurri, which culminated in winning three championships.” “The club would like to appreciate Arturo for his 2 years with the Nerazzurri.”
Vidal, who has represented Chile 133 times and scored 32 goals, most recently played for Barcelona before making the move to Inter. Prior to that, he spent time with Juventus and Bayern Munich.
Inter finished in second place in Serie A a year ago, two points behind AC Milan in the standings.
