Julie Spurlin has just joined HCSS in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. HCSS is a leading supplier of innovative software that assists heavy civil firms in streamlining their operations. Julie has over 25 years of substantial expertise in the field of human resources, which she will bring to HCSS to assist in charting the route for the organization’s future expansion.
“The passage of the infrastructure bill has boosted the future of the construction industry,” said Steve McGough, CEO and President of HCSS. “Many of our heavy civil customers will gain new projects requiring them to need more technology tools and support,” he added.
Julie’s most recent position was that of senior vice president of human resources at Software AG, a worldwide software vendor located in Germany. Prior to that, she held executive positions at a number of software and technology businesses, including RSA and Sun Microsystems, among others.

Julie has just graduated from Virginia Tech and is very close to finishing the CHRO Program at the Wharton School of Business.
