According to the police, a guy who seemed to be shooting at individuals at random over the course of around two and a half hours on Sunday morning in Detroit shot four people, three of whom later died as a result of their wounds.
After a manhunt that lasted many hours and included assistance from the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the unnamed suspect was apprehended by the police on Sunday evening.
Chief James White of the Detroit Police Department said that tips led investigators to the culprit, but he did not give any other details.

White said that authorities think there is only one gunman since they have linked all four shootings to the same handgun. He said that police do not think there was any relationship between the victims, and he pointed out that one of the victims was walking a dog at the time of the shooting, while the other victim was waiting for a bus.
He said that the authorities found a lady in her forties who had been shot many times at around 4:45 on Sunday morning. According to White, a witness indicated that a 28-year-old male had been shot numerous times in the area while cops were investigating the incident that had resulted in a fatality.
At around 6:50 in the morning, the body of a third victim, a lady in her forties, was discovered in the vicinity. According to the authorities, she was shot numerous times before she died.
An elderly guy said that he spotted a man looking into automobiles at around 7:10 in the morning. According to the police, the shooter opened fire on the elderly guy after he instructed the other person to go away from the automobiles. The elderly man was hit once, but he survived the shooting.
